Community Engagement Week
28th Oct 2023
This week we had so much fun with Community Engagement week. We got to do so much within our wonderful
community.
- On Monday the lovely librarians from the library at Watchhouse Cross came to visit our classroom and read us some lovely books as well as telling us about what it means to be a member of a library.
- On Tuesday we were lucky enough to get to visit farmer Tom’s farm where we got to see a cow being milked, feed the cows and got to sit in his tractor 🚜 🐄
- On Wednesday the boys and girls from Once Upon a Time preschool came to visit us and performed some lovely songs and poems for us. We then played some games with them on our astroturf ⚽️
- Emma the vet and her dog Gypsy also came to visit our school on Wednesday. Emma and gypsy did some cool tricks and Emma explained to all the boys how important it is to treat dogs and how to look after them 🐶
- On Thursday we were so lucky to be able to go to the marine search and rescue offices. Valerie and Jane showed us all the boats, vans and jet skis used to help people. They also showed us what it would be like To be a volunteer with the marine search and rescue team 🛶🚤
