February
23rd Mar 2024
February was a very busy month for us in rang a haon agus a dó.
- 🇨🇳 We learned all about the Chinese New year.We wore red as it’s a lucky colour in china, we tasted some Chinese food and made some lovely dragons for art as this year is the year of the dragon.
- 🏉 We welcomed Evan Cusack every Friday to teach us some rugby skills. The boys absolutely loved seeing Evan on Fridays and no doubt we have future rugby stars in the making.
- 🐶 Trudy made some visits to the classroom to make sure the boys were working hard. The boys love having Trudy in our classroom and she loves all the boys in our room .
- 🤗We got some lovely climbing equipment in our infant yards and the boys absolutely loved trying these out.
- 🦅We learned all about migration and did some research work on migration on our school iPads.
- 👶🏼 Baby Lucia was back for her visit and she has grown so much !!! She is now pulling herself up and the boys absolutely loved seeing the progress she has made!
- 🥞 It was Pancake Tuesday and we had delicious pancakes in the staffroom. A massive thank you to Ms Jordan who also showed us exactly how the pancakes are made.
- 🧑🔬We really enjoyed our STEM challenge of the month by making mazes out of Lego. The boys visited classes and got other boys and teachers to test out their mazes!
- ♻️ We also did lots of project work on the new recycling scheme in Ireland. The boys learned loads and are looking out for the new symbol on all their drinking bottles. We used recyclable objects for our art projects too.
In all, February was a very busy month for us and we enjoyed it all 😄
