October So Far
We will be ramping up the Halloween vibes in 4th Class in the next week or so. For now, here is an update on a few of our October highlights to date.
Fantastic Reading
Everyone is working hard during our English stations. The boys are reading a variety of texts and are really enjoying them.
Class Project
The boys have been collaborating in groups and with members of our school community in an attempt to record and create a 'Our School Community' video. This is such an inclusive project where all of the boys have played important roles in the recording and interview processes as well as managing and using recording equipment. Stay tuned for more on this.
Collecting Data
We were studying 'Data' in our Maths lessons in the early part of October. We worked hard together in trying to perfect our bar charts. We even ventured outside to collect and record data about cars that passed the front of our school for a period of 10 minutes. We try to make our learning experiences as fun and active as possible with opportunities to learn outside of the classroom being very important too.
Physical Activities Galore
Our fantastic gymnastics sessions with Danielle and rugby sessions with Evan continue to go down well with the boys. Their expert skills are valued very much by all of us in 4th Class.
Mental Health Day
Thank you to all who organised such an amazing Mental Health Day on Friday last. The boys attended a talk on mental health and positive thinking. Thanks to Pat.
We also had an amazing introductory boxing session. The coaches were excellent with the boys and everyone gave their best effort which was lovely to see.
Ms. Frawley and Emma visited our class in the afternoon to work through a recipe with the boys. The recipe was for tasty and healthy energy balls. The boys were all given the recipe and hopefully it is in their bags if they haven't shown it at home yet. Thank you ladies.
