September in 1st/2nd class
1st Oct 2023
What a busy first month we have had in 1st and 2nd class. We’ve been so busy learning but also busy having lots of fun.
Here are some snaps to show you what we have been up to.๐
- We learned a lot about the countries participating in this year’s rugby World Cup. The boys each have a country and we have been keeping a close eye on the results. We used our iPads to look up each of the counties, capital city, population and flag ๐
- We had a lovely trip to mace for an ice cream to ease us back into school while soaking up the last of the sunshine โ๏ธ
- We are so lucky to have so much sport going on in our school. We have had Dani and Sean in each Tuesday and Wednesday to each us some gymnastics and GAA ๐คธโ๏ธ๐โพ๏ธ
- We’ve enjoyed lots of literacy games but especially out drop everything and read when the boys get to pick a book of their own choice from our class library ๐
- We’ve done lots of hands on activities with shape and space during maths time ๐ท๐บ
- We have absolutely loved doing art! We’ve done lots of lovely art projects which are all on display in our classroom. The boys are so proud of their art! ๐จ๐ผ๏ธ
- We welcomed baby Lucia to our classroom! Baby Lucia will be coming to our classroom every 3rd week as we participate in the roots of empathy programme this year. The boys are so looking forward to watching Lucia grow throughout the year. ๐ถ๐ผ
- Finally, we were so lucky to be able to attend the coffee morning in the scout hall in aid of Milford hospice. The boys really enjoyed their delicious treat on a cold Thursday morning ๐ง
